Since this is my last post, I want to say that my health has gone down… hopefully all my hard work would actually pay off because I’ve tried very hard. So… basically that’s all I want to say. I enjoyed doing this assessment and I’m starting to get used to using a grid for layouts and stuff like that.
I’m not really making sense anymore.
okay once again it’s 6:07am, and I am finishing off and making sure my ads are fine in order to get them printed tomorrow. Wait… not tomorrow, it’s already another day, so in a few hours. I’ll show you 2 of them now.
This one below is only one of my 5 Above the line ads. The one below that is my below the line advertising. I’ll be hosting a star party in my organizations free centre of astronomy for children and they’ll be free movies and games for parents and children to play, so that is an ‘Entry Pass’ front and back. It’s another way of advertising and it’s something tangible for parents to hold onto aswell.

Went to Billyblue on Saturday to do some work and also fixed up my ads. I don’t hate them now, I feel better about them. Tomorrow’s another Monday, time for some feedback!
Well I’m in week 13 now, time passes by so quickly… I’ve managed to work on one ad for 6.5 hours. I have done numerous variations and it’s driving me up the wall. I need guidance, I want advice I’m all over the place right now with all these variations. Firstly I had an idea, why not make mine more childlike since my organization is for parents/children? I thought okay good I’m going to use the same blue moons in my logo and work on it. Several hours later I’ve totally scrapped that idea, now looking back on it it’s crap. An hour later, I’m just sitting on front of my screen wondering what happens next?
I need to get a move on, I’ve started to think about ways to do below the line ads, haven’t settled just yet, because my mind is still going millions of miles per hour. No more coffee, insomnia is going to kill me one day, soon enough.
Sleeping tablets won’t do any good in the long term, that’ll also kill me soon enough.
Let me just show you those variations. Be aware, there are a lot of them, that’s what I mean…I’m all over the shop.

So far I’ve done mock ups for my 1st above the line outdoor ad. I haven’t gotten feedback yet, I’ll get it near towards the end of the class. I know which direction I’m heading, I just need to know if I’m allowed to source my image from a NASA since I own a telescope but there’s no way I can take photo’s as clear and beautiful as those Hi-resolution images found on their site.
I want some feedback just to make sure I’m on the right track, and I’ll continue to find more inspiration to create more ads for below the line. (above the line so far I’ve done 1)
I’ve always found Fedex advertising quite humorous in terms of how they market their company in subtle, everyday situations. Here are some Guerrilla ads.

So I played around with different Hi-Res images of the Sun and I really like how I’ve placed this at the top of the page. The orange’ness of the Sun makes it look stunning, so I can already imagine it on a huge billboard. This time I’ve changed it to the more straightforward “Stay away from it!” … so yes, still going to ask for advice tomorrow.
